Hey! Pleased to meet you.

Welcome to my website, I'm glad you landed here.

I've always wanted to create with words, paint, glue, or anything my Magpie's eye finds. My other interest is exploring the human psyche.

So how do you combine these passions?

It was a question I often pondered when I started out studying psychology and ended with an Advanced Certificate in Information Systems Management, (ACISM) - Cum Laude, at the University of Pretoria. (Master's Degree)

I've married my soulmate and I've given birth to two boys, who are as opposite as the sun is to the moon, and similar in that they are both the light of my life.

I worked as a 4GL Programmer, Systems Analyst, ISO9000 Auditor, and Project Manager for twenty-odd years, never really feeling authentic.

At 33, I started my own company, Ergonomic Innovations. Later I started a Wrought Iron Factory where I forged and molded my creative ideas in iron and steel.

After a harrowing ordeal during a home invasion, I decided to set my spirit free and started to travel and write.

I have traveled to most continents, to 48 states of the USA, and recently started down my list for Africa.

The stories I tell have strong psychological undercurrents, scary ones, ones with deep themes and hard lessons - always mixed with a little (often perverse) romance and maybe a sidebar of technology.

After attending an International Conference in Las Vegas,  I pitched my completed outlines and drafts, and was invited to submit to an agent/producer and a publisher - I'm working on that. Therefore, my focus is on my psychological thriller trilogy with working titles, Lapse, Givebacks, and Game On, in which I take my mismatched duo, Crash, an infamous cybercrime amnesiac, and Jaden Clay, disgraced FBI agent, complete with a "superpower", on strange life-threatening cases.

I have an overactive enquiring mind and a natural love for academic research, but my motto has always been akin to that of Einstein - "Imagination is more important than knowledge."

I satisfy my curiosity about the human condition by coaching others, listening, and practicing NLP techniques - I'm everyone's free Life Coach; too much of an empath to charge for my time, but the story fodder is unreal!

When I'm not writing, I throw paint and glue around my home-based studio, Heart Made Heaven, and sometimes teach various forms of art. Recently, I'm more involved in educating myself in the craft of writing with annual participation in NaNoWriMo, taking writing classes, and taking master classes from the likes of James Patterson and Shonda Rhimes.

My obsession with words, and innate need to paint with language, coupled with my intense inclination to create, learn, and share, has sent me down many a rabbit's hole, and even into the arms of some unexpected poems - the rewards keep coming.

I am a storyteller and a thing-maker, but mostly, I'm undone.
